OpenWISP: Google Summer of Code 2020 a great success!

I'm very satisfied of the results achieved in this 2020 edition of the Google Summer of Code, a mentoring program designed to teach students how to contribute to open source projects while working on real world projects.
This year we successfully completed 3 projects:
- Improving OpenWISP Monitoring toward the first release
- OpenWISP Notifications
- Merge OpenWISP django modules
I had to put a lot of effort to help students refine their work to reach the quality standard used in OpenWISP, but it was worth it, the results we achieved will be useful for many years to come!
Proud to have given again a significat contribution to the thriving Open Source ecosystem.
