Project details
Km5 is a glamorous restaurant and lounge bar based in Ibiza. Famous for throwing amazing super crowded opening and closing parties in periods in which crowded parties are unusual for the island, Km5 is one of the destinations on the list of places to go in Ibiza.
I worked on this project with Natalie Chaponell, owner of White Ibiza Studio and I've taken care of several aspects of the development process, in particular I had to:
- develop an usable backend for km5's staff using Symfony, a famous PHP web framework;
- develop the xml destinated to be read by the flash application;
- integrate the flash application with the xml output by symfony;
- develop a press area accessible only to users specified by the staff;
- implement multilanguage capabilities for both the admin and the frontend (english and spanish).
The press area is an area that contains high resolution pictures, logos, posters and other information destinated to magazines and advertisers able to log onto km5's press area directly and download the files in complete autonomy.
